ABOUT ME
Artist Statement & Bio : Mino
We all live through our memories, imaginations, and hope. By placing movements, stale forms and layers of colors and textures, Mino cares to create paintings and objects like mobiles, to move the audience in their hearts.
With her academic background in Environmental Studies and Graphic Design, Mino is a nature lover who is immensely inspired by Mother Nature and dedicates many of her works to water, sea and sea mammals, many of those are endangered. Through her creations, Mino attempts to bring attention to our relationship with nature, impacts caused and the sense of stewardship, in abstract and contemporary perspectives.
Living by the beautiful mountains, forests, rivers and sea, Mino calls North Vancouver home, after her past journey in Tokyo, Montreal and San Francisco. I am so grateful for the caretakers of the unceded territories of
Squamish and Tsuleiwatuth Nations’ Peoples on this beautiful land that we reside. She is currently a member of the North Shore Artists' Guild.
Rain or shine, nature and life's journey always inspire me to be creative. I love when my art speaks to people. Thank you for visiting my webisite.
